Hey Hustlers!

A very Happy New Year to you all <3

Hope everyone is keeping high ambitions with their goal. I wish you the best <3

In this module, we’ll go over what a niche is, why a niche is vital to your value creation system, and how to choose your niche.

Niche Importance 👥

(Huge shoutout to Charlie Morgan once again.)

Niche = specific segment of a market where individuals share certain characteristics and qualities.

     (Latent conditions)

In business:

  • Specificity is power

  • Specialists have authority

  • Depth of expertise is everything

  • Functionality is leverage

Without a niche, you are aimless.

By trying to help “everyone” you end up helping no one

Let me make it concrete for you with an example from Charlie that changed my entire view on business:

Who makes more money, a general doctor, or a heart surgeon?

Which athletes achieve greatness, generalist athletes or athletes who focus on one sport?

Is it better to solve your market's main, most painful problem 100% of the way, or 10 smaller problems 10% of the way?

Are you going to make more money - being the best in one market, or being sub-par average in all of them?

Key points:

  • Generalists face chaos, specialists face order.

  • Chaos inhibits growth, order facilitates it.

  • Deep somewhere beats shallow everywhere.

  • 100 km in one direction gets you further than 10 km in 10 directions.

  • 10,000 hours in one area creates more authority than 1,000 hours in 10 areas.

There’s a caveat to this - after becoming the best in one area, you can branch out into others (e.g. Kanye West moving from music to fashion, Schwarzenegger moving from bodybuilding to politics, Amazon moving from books to other products).”

The power of niching (specificity) in action:

As you get more and more specific, customers feel like the product is made just FOR them — enhancing its value.

So when creating our value system, selecting and understanding our niche is step #1.

Knowing the exact niche we are targeting allows us to:

  • Better understand our human's latent conditions

  • Create more effective stimuli

  • Create more action through our system

  • Make more $$$

Niche Selection

I also like to think of niches as domains of interest.

Here are some examples:

  • Copywriting

  • SMMA

  • Golf

  • Productivity

  • Boxing

  • Cinematography

Niches can also be broken down into “sub-niches” that get more and more specific.

Here are some examples:

Niche: Film-making

-> Sub-niche: Editing

-> Sub-niche: Sound Design

-> Sub-niche: Bass Hits

Niche: Film-making

-> Sub-niche: Cinematography

-> Sub-niche: Lenses

-> Sub-niche: Anamorphic Lens

I like to separate niches into four different categories…

(just to help order niches in your mind)

  1. General Interests

  2. Skills

  3. Business Models

  4. Platforms

General Interests  - random topics people are interested in 💰

  • Gardening

  • Formula 1

  • Minecraft

  • Harry Potter

  • Baseball Cards

Skills  - skills people learn 💰💰💰

  • Copywriting

  • Editing

  • Appointment Setting

  • Public Speaking

  • Sales

Business Models - different types of businesses 💰💰💰💰💰

  • Agencies

  • Coaches

  • Course Creators/Infoproducts

  • Saas

  • Affiliate Marketing

  • E-commerce

  • Brick and Mortar

Platforms - different social media platforms 💰💰💰💰

  • YouTubers

  • Instagram Influencers

  • Tiktokers

  • X Writers

  • Skool owners

We can select broader niches by selecting only one of the niche groups:

Since we are selling services to businesses (B2B not B2C)...

We want to start by targeting a business model niche.

EX: Coaches

To niche down further, we can combine other niche groups with the business model we’re targeting:

EX: Coaches

  • Fitness Coaches

  •  Instagram Fitness Coaches

EX: Info-product Sellers

  • YouTubers Selling Info-products

(^ This was my actual niche.)

THE KEY: MAKE IT SOUND SPECIFIC BUT STILL BE VERY BROAD

Since we’re selling B2B services…

Stick to business models, social media platforms, and VERY broad general interest domains/skills.

Stick to the big 3 when adding on general interests/skills: Health, Wealth, Relationships

Examples:

Coaches On Instagram

Clothing Brands

Affiliate Marketers

Fitness Coaches

Website Designers

Educational YouTubers

Personal Brands

Pokemon Card YouTubers Selling Merch

Toy Dropshippers

Vinyasa Yoga Coaches

Carnivore Nutrition Coaches

Forex Coaches

*Sounds specific to the person in the niche, but is actually very broad and easy to find.

*The Golden Rule: Can you find 50-100 people in that niche every day?

ACTION ITEM:

  • List out interest domains you are interested in or could be interested in.

  • List out your current skills and skills you want to learn.

  • List out business models you have experience with or want to gain experience in.

  • List out social media platforms you have experience with or want to gain experience in.

We will give you a TON of examples of niche combinations you can target as a copywriter when we put all of this together into actionable steps at the end of this “foundations” course.

But for now, be thinking about the niches you’re in and how all successful businesses begin with the niche…

Let’s move on to creating compelling offers to make your niche take ACTION.

We are slowly moving forward with the flow of copywriting

Stay Tuned

I’ll see you at next module <3
