Hey Hustlers

In this module, we’ll overview the process for sourcing leads on any platform.

Manual VS Automated Lead Sourcing 🤔

Like most things in life, those who put in the extra effort are greatly rewarded — the same is true for lead sourcing.

Harsh Truth:

If you can click a button and get hundreds of leads, that’s what 99% of people are going to do. Which means those leads have been outreached many times.

(This means lower-quality inputs for your system.)

If you want abnormal results, you need to put in abnormal effort.

I do not think automatic lead sourcing will ever be as good as manually sourcing leads. (quality-wise)

Doing things manually will take more time, but will yield exponential benefits for your copywriting business.

Automated lead sourcing techniques have their place, but for our current systems, they don’t yield the most optimal inputs.

If you’re spending time sending high-value outreach you want to make sure your time isn’t spent on low-quality leads.

(You can still “automate” manual lead sourcing with VA’s but if you don’t have experience with manual lead sourcing you will never be able to effectively outsource it.) - We will cover this in the future btw.

Sourcing Leads 👥

Now that you have a niche and you know the importance of input quality, it’s time to source leads.

(If you haven’t watched Foundations, DO NOT continue until you do.)

Lead Sourcing Process Overview

Step 1: Finding Your Niche

Just like different types of people congregate at different physical locations, your niche congregates in different online locations.

Skaters -> Skate Parks

Dog Owners -> Dog Park

Kids -> School

Fitness Moms -> Hot Yoga Studios

Your job is to put yourself in the mind of someone in your niche and think about where they are online.

  • What websites do they visit?

  • What social media do they use?

  • Who do they follow?

  • What podcasts do they listen to?

  • What YouTubers do they watch?

  • What Facebook groups are they in?

  • What Skool groups are they in?

  • Etc.

The more practice you have putting yourself in their shoes, the easier it will be for you to find them!

We’ll be giving you effective ways to source leads, but the most untapped methods will always be the ones that you come up with yourself.

Step 2: Locating Info

Once you find where your niche is congregating online, you need to locate the info you need to perform outreach. (Email, Username, Etc.)

For email outreach, you’ll need their email.

For DM outreach, you’ll need their username.

Things like their Instagram accounts can be easy to find, whereas emails can be a little more difficult.

You’ll need to get creative and use surrounding platforms/websites your lead has to find all relevant info.

We’ll be showing you how to find different info on specific platforms.

Step 3: Extracting Info

This is pretty straightforward, you need to extract the info from the profiles/website and add it to your lead list.

For some niches, you might need to scrape their websites for emails in which case tools like Snov.io can be very helpful. (It searches their website for emails.)

Also, hunter.io. (You can search someone's name to find their email.)

(That being said, some people with hidden emails are not too happy about you finding it lol.)

Step 4: Cleaning Info (Emails)

After you have extracted a batch of emails, you’ll want to ‘clean’ the list to make sure all the emails are real.

This keeps our deliverability as high as possible since we won't be bouncing emails off dead addresses.

Millionverifier is a great tool for the job, but there are many others.

Once you‘ve sourced a large batch of emails for the day/week, export them as a CSV and upload them to Millionverifier.

Delete the emails that Millionverifier says are bad/risky and now you have a clean list!
