Hey Hustlers!

In this module, you’re going to learn how to source near-unlimited leads using YouTube.

YouTube Lead Sourcing ⭕️

YouTube is one of the best places to find leads for most niches:

  • You can manually search for leads easily.

  • You can let the algorithm find leads for you easily.

  • If someone has a YouTube channel they are usually further along in their business development. (Making more $$$)

  • YouTube is an INCREDIBLE sales asset for authority/trust in the marketplace.

  • YouTube inbound systems are becoming more and more popular.

  • You can usually find emails directly from the channel about page.

For these reasons, it’s currently foolish to NOT be sourcing as many leads as you can from YouTube.

We do that by understanding how the platform works and taking advantage of its design.

YouTube uses 7 main ways to deliver content to its user base:

Home (Browse), Search Bar, Recommended, Subscriptions, Shorts, Community Posts, Ads
We can leverage each of these to source leads from YouTube.

Algo-Assistance 🤖

Most YouTube features are “algorithm-based” — meaning YouTube’s algorithm looks at your past data to make (scarily accurate) educated guesses on what content/ads you would enjoy watching in the future.

By pretending to be our niche’s target viewer/customer, we can leverage the algorithm to spit out thousands of quality leads in our niche.

⚠️ For this reason, it is ESSENTIAL that you create a fresh YouTube account that you ONLY use for lead sourcing in one specific niche.

We will source our first leads using less algo-assisted methods to “feed” the algorithm the right data.

Once the algorithm has plenty of data, we can move on to using the more algo-assisted methods.

METHOD 1: Search Bar (Not Algo-Assisted)

Once you’ve created a fresh YouTube account, you can start sourcing leads using the Search Bar.

Step 1 - Creating Search Queries

Your search results are based on the search queries that you type into the search bar. We can use different search queries to get different results and generate different leads.

The key to generating good leads from search queries is to try lots of different search query combinations and filters.

REMEMBER: You are pretending to be your niche’s dream customer for YouTube to put you in front of your niche!

Brainstorming Query Creation Method:

Imagine you are your niche’s dream customer:

  • What are they searching for?

  • What problems do they have?

  • What pains are caused by those problems?

  • What keywords are specific to their niche?

ChatGPT Query Creation Method:

You can use ChatGPT to help you generate as many search queries as possible for your niche.

Use this ChatGPT Agent to help you generate queries: Search Query Generator

Step 2 - Searching

Using the search queries you created, begin searching for channels in your niche.

  • You can continue to scroll and generate a near-endless amount of leads.

  • Make sure to subscribe to every good lead you find.

  • You can modify your search to generate different results using the “keyword additions” and the “search filters” at the top of the page.

  • The main filters you should use are “Upload Date” “Type” & “Duration.”

Once the search results for that query have started to become lower-quality, (straying too far away from your niche) you can move on to the next query.

PRO TIP: Keep an “All-Star” list of search queries that generate solid leads. You can search these queries every week and use the filter “Upload Date > This Week” to generate fresh leads from these queries week after week.

METHOD 2: Recommended Videos (Semi Algo-Assisted)

Once you have 50-100 leads from using the Search Bar method, you can begin using the Recommended Video method to find leads.

When you watch a video on YouTube, YouTube will recommend other videos on the side that it thinks you will like based on the video you are currently watching.

We can leverage this to find even more leads in your niche:

  1. Select a channel from the lead list you built using the Search Bar method.

  2. Sort their channel videos by the most popular.

  3. Look for a video released in the past year that has substantial views (for that niche).

  4. Open that video in a new tab.

  5. Search through the recommended section beside the video for similar videos from new leads.

  6. Open those videos in a new tab and repeat step 5.

Do this for every popular video they had in the past year, then move on to another channel from your list. (Make sure to subscribe to every good lead you find.)

If you wanted to you could repeat this process for all of your new leads and repeat it infinitely.

(Now you can see how you truly can find unlimited leads on YouTube haha.)

METHOD 3: Home (Browse) (Fully Algo-Assisted)

Once you have 150-200 leads from using the Search Bar method and Recommended Method, you can begin using the Home (Browse) method to find leads.

When the YouTube algorithm has collected enough data from the channels you’ve searched for, clicked on, and subscribed to it will start serving you similar channels on your homepage.

When you input the right data, the algorithm does all the heavy lifting for you.

This is why it is ESSENTIAL that you create a new account specifically/ONLY for lead sourcing in your desired niche.

If you start watching your doo-doo gaming videos on this account it will screw up the data that you’re inputting into the algorithm — giving you worse results.

How to source leads on browse:

  1. Click on the YouTube homepage.

  2. Scroll looking for leads.

  3. Open every potential lead in a new tab.

  4. When you see videos NOT in your niche:

    1. Click on three dots

    2. “Not Interested”

  5. Use the additional tags/filters at the top to generate new channels.

The more leads you find, the more fine-tuned the algorithm will be, and the more quality leads you’ll get.

METHOD 4: Shorts (Fully Algo-Assisted)

I DO NOT recommend using shorts as a main method for lead sourcing (don’t be a lazy rat), but it can be useful when you’re on the go and have nothing better to do.

When you’ve used EVERY method above, the algorithm should have a solid idea of the content you want to see, and it will start recommending shorts from creators in your niche.

  1. Download the YouTube app on your phone.

  2. Sign into your lead sourcing account.

  3. Go to “Shorts”

  4. Scroll through the shorts looking for channels in your niche.

  5. VERY IMPORTANT: AVOID ALL CONTENT NOT IN YOUR NICHE!!!

    1. If you start watching braindead content you will RUIN your algo setup.

  6. Engage with good shorts from solid leads.

METHOD 5: Community Posts

When scrolling through your Home (Browse) sections you may get recommended “Community Posts.”

Engaging with/lead sourcing from creators posting community posts can be a great way to find higher-quality leads.

Usually, if someone is posting community posts then they are aware of the value of copywriting OR they have a low-quality copywriter that you can replace!

METHOD 6: Ads

Once YouTube knows what kind of interests/content you prefer to watch, you will start to receive ads from that niche as well.

This can be a great place to find leads since you know these people are spending/making money with their business.

How to leverage YouTube ads:

  1. Every time you open a video using the previous methods, you’ll probably get served ads.

  2. If the ad is from someone in your niche, click on the link in the ad to visit their website/find their name or contact info.

  3. Search for their YouTube channel/other socials.

  4. NOTE: turn off your ad blocker!!
